The South East Radio Group is able to assist interested parties to study for and obtain an amateur radio qualification, which in turn enables them to obtain an amateur radio licence and callsign from the ACMA.

There are 3 levels of licence available, which coincide with the 3 qualification levels:

• Foundation Licence
• Standard Licence
• Advanced Licence

Each licence level has its own conditions which stipulate the band, mode, power level, and other conditions that must be met when operating.
